Fresno, CA – In the early hours of Monday, December 22, 2025, a single-vehicle rollover crash resulted in injuries to an adult woman, according to KSEE.
The Fresno Police Department reports that the accident took place around 2:00 AM near Shaw and Chestnut avenues.
Authorities stated that officers arrived to find the woman’s SUV overturned and resting upside down in the roadway. Police said the woman was the sole occupant of the vehicle and was transported to a local hospital for treatment, though her condition had not been released as of the latest update.
Investigators indicated that the woman was suspected of driving under the influence at the time of the crash. Police believe she was attempting to make a turn when she lost control of the SUV, left the roadway, and struck a light pole before the vehicle rolled over.
Officials confirmed that no other vehicles were involved in the collision and that no additional injuries were reported. The investigation into the circumstances of the crash remains ongoing as authorities continue to review evidence from the scene.
Single-Vehicle Collisions
In some cases, investigations may reveal that even in a single-vehicle accident, nearby drivers or unsafe road features share some responsibility. California’s Comparative Negligence rule means that, even if those injured in accidents are found partially at fault, they may still be eligible to receive partial compensation for damages.
